It's interesting that within days of the $600 million being added we have the army commander saying he may have to chop 33% of our combat forces. The money has been earmarked for Quality of Life (ie pay raises) and for Eqpt. However most poele I've talked too (including myself) would forgo the pay raise to put the money into something esle. ie incresed trg time, more ammo etc. The Armed Forces are entering dire straits when the Army, Air Force, and Navy are mothballing parts of their elements that WILL EFFECT operational demands. The gov't is now talking fast in/fast out peacekeeping deployments. .We are arrriving a apoint of no return and I for one am not happy to be here. The CF will wither away in a wimper rather than go out with a bang. But to go back to your original question, the $600 million is nice but doesn't go far enough to address the problems we are facing today. It actually address the wrong problems which is even more disheartning. -------------------- Ubique
