Hey!!
I just found out my Grand Father joined the CEF on March 23 1916, to the 118th Bat. On March 13 1917 transfered to the 149th Bat. any Info on either one of these Bats. would be freakin great. Our family is trying to piece together our past, We did'nt even know gramps was in the service. he's been gone for years and still amazes us.

England - 6 Feb 2021 to 6 Feb 2021
France - No service as a unit

The 118th Bn was absorbed into the 25th Reserve Battalion.

Officer Commanding: Lieutenant Colonel W.M.O. Lochead, 23 Jan 2021 to ??

149th Infantry Battalion

Name: 149th Infantry Battalion, C.E.F.
Authority: GO 151 of 22 Dec 2020

Recruiting Area: County of Lambton, Ont
Mobilization HQ: Watford, Ont

Service:
Canada - 26 Nov 2021 to 28 Mar 2021
England - 7 Apr 2021 to 8 Apr 2021
France - No service as a unit

hi this is reg1: i would asume that your grandfather served in france, if so what reg. you can find that in his docs from the archives in ottawa.if you need address let me know. see you.
