Royals, Aaarg, it's Royal Canadians. If RSM George Fuller ever reads your posting he will be coming through the tube right after you. As he explained in the Connecting File once the Royals are the Royal Regiment of Canada while we are The Royal Canadians and don't you bloody well forget it.

He could have called them "Princess Pats" ;-)

I knew a guy who did a tour with the RCR overseas and I distinctly remember him saying he did his tour with "the Royals". I naturally assumed he meant the bunch from Toronto, too.

Guess standards have slipped a bit in the last few years...of course, he was a militia augmentee whose real loyalty was to the highland regiment he came from!
