I couldn't help but out in my two cents on this post. I think you gave in to easily to the presumptious individual that berated you for using the term "military types". I think your use of that term is probably appropriate for the this forum. I am a soldier, and if you had been referring to me in particular, I would prefer to be addressed as such, however there are more then soldiers that participate in this sometimes very interesting page. I would think some sailors or airmen reading this page would bristle at being addressed as "soldier". I realize the press is using the term troops and soldiers when referring to any aspect of the military, but what do they know? Usually not the whole story!
I have been reading this page for quite sometime and enjoy the comments for the most part, but some people need to lighten up or get a tougher skin. It is most likely that some comments are not meant to be as scathing as they sound, but if I may suggest a good idea would be to read the post prior to hitting the "submit" button. It may save a few hurt feelings and the need to "retaliate". Anyway, that is my two , well three cents. Cheers
