If expressing concern over respect, training and professionalism is in your opinion "holier-than-thou, no-one-loves-the-military-more-than-me bull", then you got the wrong message.
My point was and is simple - military personnel serve the country under the rules of the military, and as "professionals" (let me know if you feel otherwise), you are bound to exercise the rules to the best of your abilities. Bad habits that develop at the beginning of a career tend to cause problems later on. Of this, I speak from personal experience.
As for my everyday rank, I am a civilian. Therefore, I am lower than a private and higher than a general.
In the past I served Queen and country in the rank of private and retired in the rank of Captain. So what? That is up to you. How you react to my comments serves to answer my questions about your state of training and/or professionalism.
You have every right to ignore my posts, but you (and some of your supporters) seem content taking shots from behind cover ("Private"). Why?
Do you have a real problem with some aspect of the military or are you just taking shots for the fun of it?
