I worked in a gun shop for a couple of summers in Alberta, and I have heard a lot of horror stories about the "rights" of gun owners. What you say, sadly, doesn't surprise me. So the SOB that threatened your wife could very well have an illegal firearm in his residence, and the police don't care. And they waited 12 or so hours before they bothered to check, meaning if he was bent on violence that night, they would have waited til he shot someone before doing something about it.Frightening! And thanks for sharing it with us.
