Can you really blame NDHQ for being scared shitless by Maclean's magazine? They do have to answer to the government (which is the way it should be). You've seen the PM try to wear a kevlar helmet, so you know he's a little out of touch.

LDA is mostly just a reminder of what your responsibilities and rights are. In our unit, there was a lot of emphasis during LDA put on the 10 principles of leadership. It was well done, I thought, and the worst thing that can happen is you get a day's pay for sitting in the classroom.

I'd be interested in your thoughts after you've actually done the training.
