The CFJLC is a requirement to receive a leaf for Bandsmen and Air Force (sorry, I don't know if this info applies to Navy) and consists of 33 training days of 10 periods per day. This is a National Standards course so the time frames should be accurate coast to coast. The periods per day can change and therefore the training days can change but the PO/EO lists should remain constant as the Standards dets are all over these courses to ensure that the CTS/CTP is maintained.
Upon completion of the CFJLC all trades except those mentioned above are to particpate in the LFCJNCO phases for their particular MOC's. I'm not 100% sure of these numbers but at last glance I believe they are accurate. The support trades are required to complete 33 training days, the non combat arms are required to do 45 training days and the combat arms are required to do 56 training days in order to complete the CTP for their respective MOC's.
I don't know where they find all the instructors for thses courses but as I have read on these pages and seen for myself, the candidates are only as good as the instructors let them be...and the instructors are only as good as they allow themslves to be. Lead by example, seek and accept responsibility, know your limitations and strive to improve, inform your soldiers, promote your soldiers' welfare, etc.. You've probably heard it all before and think that this monologue is needless nagging to define leadership...It is !!
