Rifle Regiments (Voltigeurs de Quebec, Queen Own Rifles of Canada, Royal Regina Rifles, and the Brockville Rifles), do not carry colours, thier battle honours are emblazoned on thier regimental acoutrements. (drums, capbadges, crossbelts). This stems back to the days when rifle regiments were to conceal themselves which would have been plenty difficult to do with two great huge flags o' many colours to haul around. There are a whole bunch of other interesting Light Infantry traditions.
