Correct me if I am wrong The UK L19 WP round you refer to requiring the correct arming and detonation sequence is really the fuze and not the mortar itself. So therefor if the fuze is to function by design you are correct in stating the sequence etc is required.
But from the info presented that is to say that some munitions High Ordered and others did not so they buried the hull. That would only mean that over time the cannisters (Mortar Round) itself would be subject to erosion and since WP is ignited by oxygen and not the Fuze (the fuze only disperses the WP so it can get oxygen)it only seems that the likely hood of moving the hull may crack the air tight barrier that exist causing the WP to ignite. Therefor the more you move it the greater the chances of fireworks.
Also the use of the term inert refers to with out explosives or WP in this case. Should not the term be
DUD unless of course you are 100% sure there is no WP encased in the hull not because you moved it and nothing happened. So with out reading the RSP's and going by the info presented and keeping general Dud disposal in mind should you not Blow in place and avoid the chances of an uncontrolled high order. Or at least if you are still in mine to move it, should you not dispose of the WP in the impact area once it is moved.
With regards to giving my name why should I give it out you wouldn't know me anyway. And concerning holding my hand while an A-hole dicks with it No Thanks I've been there and seen it up close and
It's been my experience the A-hole dicking with it usually takes some one with him when he joins the Pink Mist Society.
But once all is said and done, really, if there is no WP aboard this hull as you say, well it is not a CF secret after all is it, just another vehicle left in the trg area and it will make an excellent target.
