Hey, I`m applying for RMC in the fall as well (did the Recruiting Officer that you were talking to look surprised when you said "Infantry?" I know mine did!)
Start with your own program. Start running each day after doing a good stretching routine. Don`t push it the first few times, and don`t give it up if it`s painful. Start walking distances carrying a pack with weights in it (get ready for those rucksack marches.) Keep expanding how many push-ups and sit-ups you can do. Hope this helps!
