I'm a newly joined (to be sworn in next week) reservist
who is off to train at Pet in July/August. As such,
I've been "training up" in preparation for that.
My problem is that I am getting alot of blistering on my
heels after a 13-14km load walk. I've done this in
quality running shoes and in boots, with little
difference. Tried thin socks, thick socks. Even my
regulation gray woolies, leftover from my Air Cadet days.
I've read that using rubbing alcohol to toughen them up
would be good, but someone else said that's the worst
thing I could do.
Any suggestions ?
