Secur O's and members of Invest sections currently are auth to carry the Sigs. Kind of hard to hide a Browning when you are plainclothes...Most MP's I've talked to are questioning why they all don't have them. I know a couple who have had to draw down on people and hoped that the sight of their issue Browning was enough. I wonder what the outcome would have been if the other guy knew they didn't have one up the spout. They are at a distinct disadvantage; draw pistol, cock, disengage safety and hope your body armour works cause buddy has already nailed you with a double tap. I guess it's going to be a classic case of some poor patrolman trying to do his job with second rate eqpt, will end up being carried by six before anything changes. All to save a couple of bucks.
