Particularly, if you feel that there was an underlying intimation with the act or gesture, talk to your unit harassment advisor. Seeking redress against abusive people (superiors, peers, or subordinates) is a healthy and proper approach for which specific mechanisms are available to you.

Also, do not be afraid to advise the person that you will, in future, formally report their behaviour and follow it up with the chain-of-command. (If you fear a violent reaction on their part, you are not oblicgated to fulfill this step in the process.) You don't have to put up with any behaviour you feel is inappropriate.
