Defending against what though?? As far as I know, no state has any territorial claims
against us. If a rogue state was going to nuke the US, does it make sense for
them to announce it by launching a missle? That would be MAD! Now, a nuclear
device, in a freighter or a trawlor (illegal migrants?) sails into a harbour...how do
you defend against that? I think the real threat is an accidental launch...
