Hey folks, if you ever wanted to get behind something, this might be just the thing. I hear that Major Mark Eckley, the DCO of 1 PPCLI in Kosovo has been charged for failing to report his CO being drunk! You will remember that LCol Steve Bryan pleaded guilty to being drunk after an evening with the Russian contingent (who wouldn't be...). It seems that the National Investigation Service has now decided that Eckley should have reported his CO for being drunk. Not doing so, in their eyes is a chargeable offence.

How about all you NCOs who haven't reported the CSM for being drunk? Or, all you junior officers who didn't report the Adjutant? Let's all go hang out at the Ottawa Army Officers' Mess and see if we can catch out the senior officer!

I don't think I need to explain what this kind of charge could mean for everyone in uniform...let alone COs who will now be turned in by any ole, "informer". Veterans like Lew MacKenzie and Don Ethell have come out swinging against the investigating dumbies who let things get this far. I'm on MacKenzie's side too.

This will be a litmus test to see if the chain of command has any brains, having lost it's balls long ago.

Just when you thought things couldn't get any more dumb...
