I am currently writing a history of this unit from the 9th Brigade of the 3rd Division of the Canadian Expeditionart Force. so far most of the content is based upon the unit's war diary and files at the National Archives in Ottawa. I am trying to contact people who's ancestors were in the unit for pictures, letters home, diaries or any other information related to the unit. I am also trying to track down Major Warner E. Cusler, MC and two Bars, Lt. Col. Robert A. Macfarlane DSO, MC and a Sergeant G. T. Bell who had battalion files at his home. The members of the unit began the process of writing the history, but the start of World War Two probably interrupted the process. I had two relatives in the unit, hence my motivation to write its story.
Yours truly,
Kevin R. Shackleton
