WW2 medals/decorations

I've got a quick question, and I need a quick answer. Wile packing to move, we found several old WWII decorations, which belonged to a relative of ours. The question that I have is this: What does one do with these?? I don't want to get throw them away, yet I'm not sure what else to do. I believe that we have 3 campaign starts (1939-1945, Italy, and France Germany) as well as several other medals. Any advice on the subject would be very much appreciated. Can I give them to a store, or the Legion, or can someone keep them for themselves (I'm taking Basic in July, planning on staying in the Reserves for a while) Thanks again!!
